Meet Dr. Ezekiel Oburu, a highly skilled and experienced orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in general orthopedics, including hip, knee, shoulder, and foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Oburu is dedicated to helping his patients manage conditions related to arthritis, trauma, and sports injuries, so they can return to an active lifestyle. Dr. Oburu has an impressive educational background, having graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1998, and obtaining a Masters in General Surgery from the same institution in 2004. He then pursued orthopaedic training in the west of Scotland and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in Orthopaedics and Trauma in 2011. To further enhance his skills, Dr. Oburu attended a fellowship in Hip and Knee reconstructions in Adelaide, Australia before returning home to Kenya in 2012. In 2016, he underwent specialized training in foot and ankle surgery at the Institute of Foot And Ankle Reconstructive Surgery in Baltimore, U.S.A under Dr. Mark Myerson. Later that same year, he was also trained in arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder surgery in Stoke on Trent. As a lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Dr. Oburu is passionate about sharing his knowledge with both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He employs the latest techniques in the management of patients, utilizing his extensive experience both locally and overseas.
